Katsugi Okedo movement (Intermediate)

As the katsugi okedo is one of the few types of taiko that is truly mobile, there is a lot that can be done while moving.  This can prove to be very difficult as the drum can go where it wants or not go where you DO want!

I’ll help you learn how to move through controlling it and also by working with it, so you have options depending on your needs.  You’ll play simple rhythms while understanding how to move as a unit with your okedo. By the end of the workshop you'll be much more comfortable moving around the stage playing with confidence!

This workshop is best for those who have at least a little experience playing okedo, as striking basics and drum orientation are not covered.
