Naname movement (Beg/Int)

The naname style lends itself to big arm motions, but many people don’t feel comfortable when they have to move away from their original spot.  And even those who do feel comfortable moving might struggle doing so with grace and fluidity.

This workshop starts by making you much more aware of your lower body and what you’re doing with it while playing naname. From there we explore ways of thinking on where to move to, options on how to move to those places, and develop dexterity with footwork in different situations!  You’ll leave with skills you didn’t have before and ideas you can explore in your naname playing.
