Naname technique (Beg/Int)
In this workshop we examine naname technique from the ground up, learning how the legs and feet give a solid foundation through the body and through the strike on the drum. This workshop is very similar to the one on betta, but with the added elements of an asymmetrical stance and addressing the two different types of strikes in it (right hand, left hand).
Because there are different ways that naname can work for different people/groups, I present options for both stance and striking, to allow for whichever options might work best. However, regardless of which preferences people have, the focus on ergonomic playing and utilizing gravity will help people play with more power, more grace, and less effort!
